As you all know, Highroad is leading the oh-so-needed transformation of our everyday lives to make them smarter, better, simpler, more efficient, etc. In most cases, this is strongly connected to where we live, where we work, where we drive, or where we hang out (in case you remember what this is).
This is why Highroad has announced an ambitious plan to build a whole new city, from the ground up, based on state-of-the-art technologies and innovative infrastructures. The project name is “Highwalk Labs” and it is based on the model of Google’s sister Sidewalk Labs. The city is set to be built in the Israeli Negev and will include 420 families at the first stage, scheduled to be done by June 2024.
Imagine a city that is completely energy self-reliant, all from renewable sources (and stores excess energy as compressed air, rather than Li-Ion batteries) using YAFA‘s technology; where all the food it needs is growing inside it – on rooftops, walls, and also closed containers, with no maintenance needed, using SoliDrip‘s unique irrigation system; a city with no traffic whatsoever, because all traffic is being managed by ITC‘s unique system; where people are building communities around mutual interest, but also really meet face-to-face and get to know each other, using coing‘s platform; a place where people don’t need to worry about what they breathe, because there are Aura Air‘s systems all around; where people work better with Artishok, build better with Civ Robotics and Castory, or simply know what’s going on in different places with different methods using ACiiST‘s units, Telicomm‘s algorithm and also RoadSense‘s unique privacy-focused system, and these are just a few examples of the potential implementation of some of Highroad’s portfolio companies.
This is a fantastic vision that will really boost the transformation of our lives significantly. We suggest you don’t expect more details soon, as this is actually an April Fools’ prank, but we really wish it wasn’t.
